• Marienmünster is situated in an important cultural landscape with many places of interest: The historic Weser town of Höxter (14 km) invites you to stroll and enjoy.
• Even the journey there by bike or by car takes you through the unique, almost unspoilt nature of the Weserbergland and will inspire you.
• There you will also find the World Heritage Site of Corvey Abbey and Castle.
• Other attractive sights include the Fürstenberg porcelain manufactory, the Westphalian open-air museum in Detmold (the largest open-air museum in Germany), the historic centre of Detmold, Externsteine, Hermannsdenkmal, the artists' town of Schwalenberg and the Schiederstausee reservoir.
• Hameln, the Pied Piper town, and Bad Pyrmont with its beautiful palm garden can also be reached quickly by car.
• A highlight for families is the Godelheimer See leisure centre (16 km).
• Here you can swim for free, relax on the sandy beach and children can explore the many play and climbing equipment, the pump track or play beach volleyball.
• There is only a car park fee to pay.
• In Bodenwerder there is an attractive summer toboggan run with additional play facilities.
• We definitely recommend a cycle tour along the Weser towards Holzminden/ Bodenwerder or Bad Karlshafen, past Herstelle Abbey and the Skywalk.
