• The surrounding fields are cultivated by older farmers or are abandoned.
• During the day, falcons and seagulls fly over the land, while at nights crickets chirp and owls hoot.
• At night you can admire the magnificent starry sky.
• It is barely a half hour’s walk to the beach along a romantic, but challenging stepped path.
• It takes about seven minutes to get there by car.
• Ponta do Sol is an idyllic little place with many restaurants and two supermarkets, petrol stations, banks, a pharmacy and bakeries.
• It is a half-hour walk away, or ten minutes by car.
• The nearest two restaurants are within a seven-minute drive.
• There is a little minimarket a kilometre away.
• Travelling retailers come past the house every day selling bread, meat, fish, vegetables and fruit.
