The cottage is located about 25 km south of the centre of Bergen, in Hagavik, a small village near Osøyro, with a slightly elevated position and a view over the landscape to the Folgefonna mountain massif.

• Nearby are the ruins of the 11th century Lysekloster monastery and the magnificent house museum of Ole Bull, a Norwegian musician - made entirely of wood.
• Only 45 minutes by car and you are in the winter ski area in Eikelandsdalen.
• The ski area in Jondal is about 3 hours away by car and is also open in summer.
• Both have ski lifts and hire facilities.
