• There is the Baltic Sea, the inland lake, the Steinwarder bathing lagoon in between, followed by the Graswarder nature reserve with its bird sanctuary and breeding area for countless bird species, the award-winning marina with its charter facilities and the municipal harbour with its fish and grain handling and fishing cutter fleet.
• Directly adjacent to this is the old town with its museum, the 830-year-old town church, the many shops, from bakeries to department stores, restaurants and other catering establishments.
